These 4 Photos are from SeaWorld’s Official Visitor’s Guide from 1972.
This is how the SeaCircus was marketing itself to the public in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Of note, the ridiculous sunglasses; the elephant seal (embarrassing); the steel rod (training device) in the third photo. The device is pressed against the rostrum of the orca similar to how an ankus might be used on an elephant.
Lastly, a photo (with words above identifying it) of a dolphin in a net. Unclear if SeaWorld has captured this dolphin, or what. The words above the photo describe how “evolved” their “displays” were, so potentially they are “rescuing” this dolphin for a life at their “great” establishment.
